Satsuma Flavored black tea conjures up images of bygone days of
ancient Japan, where Samurai, Geisha, and Emperors once ruled.
Satsuma was the name of what is now known as the Kagoshima
Prefecture on the southern tip of Kyushu Island.  This ancient kingdom
is where the Satsuma, (Latin: Citrus reticulata) is believed to have
originated.  Sometimes referred to as Satsuma Mandarin, or
Satsuma Tangerine, this little fruit has been prized by the people who
inhabited the region for centuries.  Orange Pekoe grade leaf from Sri
lanka is flavored with natural oils and blended with Calendula petals,
White Daisy, Lemon Balm, Cornflower petals, Dried Orange and
Marigold for a bright and coppery cup.  This tea is equally delicious
served hot or over ice for a truly remarkable
iced tea.
