Ilam Estate black tea has a Darjeeling-like character with good muscatel
flavor due to their close proximity.  This natural flavor becomes more
pronounced during the 2nd flush and gives the tea more body as the
season progresses.  These characteristics are unique due to the
originating species (Chinese genus), the high altitude, soil conditions,
weather conditions and the processing techniques used by master
growers. Ilam Estate black tea is grown high in the Himalayan mountains,
surrounded by snow covered peaks of the worlds tallest mountains.
